this morning we woke up before dawn to go to Ethan Allen's warehouse sale. the sale started at 8am and we got there at 645. we were first in line! the line was HUGE. i mean, by 8am there were probably 200 or so people lined up to get in. unreal. since we were first we had a few minutes to chat with one of the family members that actually own the ethan allen franchise in our area - it was very interesting. when they opened the doors at 8am it was absolutely mania as 200 people charged into the warehouse to claim their case good and upholstry booty.
we had prepared a list of all the things we needed. number one on our list was the tuscany buffet that matches our dining room set - but unfortunately, no dice on the buffet. second on our list was an entertainment console for our tv. we lucked out on this one and tony found and claimed it within the first five minutes. we were also hoping to find two end tables and a coffee table, but no luck there. the deals were definitely good - we saw our dining room table for like much less than we paid for it in the store. we got our entertainment console for $200 less than its normal price. good stuff.
we found out that these happen like 2ce a year, so we definitely need to get in on the goodness the next time.
way to go on scoring a console! I'm trying to figure out what furniture I need for my client viewing area and I've been spending some time on the ethan allen site trying to get ideas!
